Meet our Audiologists

At Lakeside Audiology, we want every patient to leave feeling they received top-notch hearing care wrapped in genuine conversation and knowledge.

Kim Block Audiologist

Kim Block, AuD, BC, PASC

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Block opened Lakeside Audiology in 2015 after realizing the void of care that existed within the greater Charlotte community for patients who seek more answers and a caring, supportive environment. Since then she has worked tirelessly to build a space where people of any age with hearing loss and hearing concerns can seek the care they deserve. She and her staff provide extensive services in behavioral and electrophysiological hearing evaluation, management of hearing loss through amplification and rehabilitation, cochlear implant programming and follow-up care, and contract educational audiology services. She is Board Certified in Audiology and holds Specialty Certification in Pediatric Audiology. Dr. Block is licensed to practice audiology in both North and South Carolina.

Dr. Block graduated from the University of Maryland’s Doctoral program for Audiology in 2006. Her experience has included working at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland, Providence Health System in Portland, Oregon, and prior to opening her own practice, at Cornerstone Ear, Nose & Throat in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Block and her husband are residents of Tega Cay, where they are raising their three school-age daughters. Their family enjoys outdoor recreation, including biking, hiking and time out on Lake Wylie. They are committed to their early-morning workouts and have a passion for cooking good, wholesome, healthy food. Above all else, they realize that every day is a gift, and intend to live each day as such.

Meet our Staff

Lakeside Audiology strives to be a place where patients can expect reasonable wait times, accessibility to their own records, and a warm hello when they walk in the door.

Jenn Whitt

Billing Coordinator

Jenn joined the Lakeside Audiology team in April, 2016 as our Billing Coordinator. She quickly proved herself to be a valuable asset to our team by taking on the many challenges of insurance billing.  Jenn is a mother of two and a resident of Lancaster County.  She is a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and completed medical billing certification coursework through AAPC in June, 2018 to expand her knowledge of the ever-changing medical insurance field.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughters, traveling, playing violin, and making crafts.

Joyce Laws

Patient Care Coordinator
Joyce has contributed to the Lakeside Audiology team as a Patient Care Coordinator and marketing specialist since we opened. Her administrative and interpersonal skills are second to none. In her spare time, she can be found volunteering with the Red Cross, playing with her nine grandchildren, out on the lake with her husband of 46 years, or playing bridge with her girlfriends.

Kim 'Sam' Chapman

Audiology Technician
Sam joined the Lakeside Audiology team in July, 2018 as our Audiology Technician.  She recently retired after 29 years of service to the City of Charlotte where she earned exceptional recognition for her work in administrative assignments. Sam originally came to Lakeside seeking assistance for a family member and was so pleased with our staff that she jumped at the opportunity to join the team. She processes a passion for making our patients feel welcome, especially our seniors, as she fulfills her role as our technician. Sam and her husband, of 34 years, recently moved to Fort Mill from Charlotte. They have a daughter and son-in-law who live in Lake Wylie. They enjoy working in their yard, entertaining friends and family, and playing with their beloved German Shepherd, Minka.
